The current mid-term plan has Tekken Corporation's overseas business slated to become one of its core segments by 2020. To achieve this goal, a target was set for the fiscal year 2018 with a budget of 15,000 million Japanese yen in overseas construction orders. To this end, sales development is being actively pursued centering on the Asian region.
The Japanese government has a policy of promoting high quality infrastructure in developing countries. Based on this policy, Tekken Corporation plans to focus on investing in transportation infrastructure with the expectation of continuing ODA investment. First, a corporate structure that can continuously bear overall sales of the order of 10% will be created. At the same time, technology transfers are envisioned through on-the-job training (OJT) programs. Enhancing the skill levels of locally engaged employees and localization programs will progress simultaneously. In doing so, Tekken Corporation hopes to contribute to the growth of local firms, and to the development in developing countries.
